Kvichak - Vigor Deal Closing

EPOCH PI ANNOUNCED THE APRIL 9 COMPLETION OF THE MERGER OF KVICHAK MARINE INDUSTRIES AND VIGOR INDUSTRIAL. THE COMBINATION OF THESE TWO LEADERS IN THE MARINE INDUSTRY WAS A MARRIAGE OF VALUES ASSISTED BY EPOCH PI, AN INVESTMENT BANK DEDICATED TO SERVING PURPOSE-DRIVEN, VALUES-ORIENTED COMPANIES.

Kvichak is a recognized global leader in the design and construction of high quality, high performance, and hard working aluminum workboats with 100 employees at two locations in the Puget Sound region. Vigor Industrial is a leading provider of shipbuilding, ship repair and complex fabrication in the Pacific Northwest with 2,300 employees and 9 locations in Alaska, Oregon and Washington. The business combination makes strategic sense, combining the aluminum work boat building expertise of Kvichak with the technical strength and greater resources of Vigor, but the key was shared values.

Keith Whittemore, President of Kvichak, said, “We had several objectives for the transaction including realizing a strong valuation for our business, but doing so in a way that was good for our people and our business.
